Gujarat Chief Minister Vijaybhai Rupani has made a big announcement about Covid-19 vaccine. Vijaybhai Rupani announced that from tomorrow i.e. from 04/06/2021 in all 6 districts of Gujarat, a person above 18 years of age will be vaccinated.
The first corona vaccine was given to a person over 60 years of age and to a person with comorbidity i.e. a person suffering from long term and serious diseases like heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, low blood pressure, cancer.
In the subsequent phase, vaccination was started for people above 8 years of age and now today it was announced by Gujarat Chief Minister Vijaybhai Rupani that from 04/06/2021 onwards, people over 18 years of age should also be vaccinated in all districts of Gujarat.

Vaccines will be given to people in the age group of 18 to 44 in all districts of Gujarat from tomorrow. Two and a half lakh doses will be given daily. Vaccination will be started at 1200 centers in all 33 districts of the state under the three crore dose arranged by the Gujarat government. 3 lakh doses will be given daily in the state.
Slots and times will be reported via SMS
Chief Minister Vijay Rupani said that under this vaccination, about two and a half lakh youths will be covered in free vaccinations from these vaccination centers every day. Youngsters in the age group of 18 to 44 who have registered will be sent an SMS. The place, time and slot for their vaccination will be informed by.
The coronavirus vaccine will also be given to 75 thousand people in the state every day. Thus, from June 4, the state will launch a free campaign to provide free corona vaccine to 3 lakh people every day.
2.25 lakh people in the age group of 18 to 44 will be vaccinated every day
Chief Minister Vijay Rupani added that so far 1.5 lakh youths in the age group of 18 to 44 have been vaccinated free of cost in 10 cities in the state. Encouraging the enthusiasm among the youth for vaccination, the state government will now provide free vaccines to 2.5 lakh youth from 1200 centers every day from June 4.
Ordered 3 million doses
He said that in Gujarat, corona vaccine is given in two parts, in which citizens aged 45 and above and in the other part, young people between the ages of 18 and 44 are vaccinated. Not only that, the state government has ordered 30 million doses of vaccine for 18 to 44 year olds.
25% of the population received the same dose and 6% of the population received both doses
A total of 1 crore 76 lakh 39 thousand 673 people have been vaccinated in Gujarat so far. In which 1 crore 34 lakh has been given first dose to 9 thousand 392 while 42 lakh 30 thousand 281 have been given second dose. Thus, out of the total population of 69.4 million, only 6% have been fully vaccinated. While 25 percent of the population received a single dose.
Herd immunity requires 70 percent of the population to take both doses. If 2 lakh people are vaccinated every day, it may take another three months to vaccinate half the population i.e. 35 million. But only about 75 percent would have received the first dose.
3.25 crore citizens in the age group of 18 to 45 years in the state
The Gujarat government estimates that there are 3.25 crore citizens in the age group of 18 to 45 years in the state. The Gujarat government asks every citizen to get vaccinated, but according to the World Health Organization, if 70 per cent of the population is vaccinated, herd immunity will come and the corona can be controlled. However, since people in this age group are most active in daily life, at least 85 per cent of them are expected to be vaccinated.
Vaccination began on 16 January
According to the Central Government’s Health Department, the population of Gujarat as of 2011 is 6.04 crore. Vaccination started from January 16 in Gujarat. So far (as of May 13), 1.47 crore people have taken the corona vaccine, according to the state health department.
1207 new cases and 17 patient deaths in the state
1207 new cases have been reported in the state in 24 hours. For the first time after 50 days, 3 thousand 18 patients have recovered. Earlier on April 15, 3 thousand 23 patients were cured. So the number of active cases in the state has come down from 25 thousand to 24 thousand 404. The daily death toll has risen to 17. Thus, for the 30th day in a row, the number of patients recovering from new cases has been higher. As a result, the state’s recovery rate has improved to 95.78 per cent.
8.13 lakh cases and 9890 deaths
So far 8 lakh 13 thousand 270 reports have come positive in the state, while the death toll has risen to 9 thousand 890. As many as 7 lakh 78 thousand 976 patients have been discharged so far. As far as active cases are concerned, there are currently 24,404 active cases in the state, out of which 429 patients are on ventilator, while 23,975 patients are in stable condition.
